Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, gave strong and emotional testimony on Thursday afternoon in defense of himself, his family, his name and his reputation.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) later in the day offered the most spirited defense of Kavanaugh by any Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee — but not everyone, of course, appreciated the testimony by Kavanaugh.

MSNBC’s Cynthia Alksne, for her part, called it a “temper tantrum” — while Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) suggested on Twitter that if Kavanaugh gets this angry on live television in front of millions, “imagine what he’s like when he gets inebriated.”

(In other words, Democrats want it both ways: They need a “credible” witness, yet when a nominee expresses anger or emotion, that’s not OK with them.)

While Judge Brett Kavanaugh has received support from many people on the Right, the president’s son, Don Trump Jr., shared a particular note about the nominee.

“I love Kavanaugh’s tone,” he tweeted. “It’s nice to see a conservative man fight for his honor and his family against a 35-year-old claim with ZERO evidence and lots of holes that amounts to nothing more than a political hit job by the Dems.”

He added, “Others in the GOP should take notice!”

He went on to share and comment on other people’s tweets.

Kimberley Strassel of The Wall Street Journal tweeted, “If Democrats had any honor or dignity, they’d feel great shame listening to Kavanaugh describe their tactics and words. It speaks volumes that they won’t care at all.”

Don Jr. responded to this by saying, “Pro tip: They don’t have any honor or shame.”

Than he commented on a tweet from The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway about how much these allegations have damaged Kavanaugh wife and children.

“The story about his daughter and her concern for Kavanaugh’s accuser made me cry. And I commend her for remembering her in her prayers. May we all show this grace and love at this time,” tweeted Hemingway.

“I want a man who had a family like this in the Supreme Court. #ConfirmBrettKavanaughNow,” responded Don Jr.

Don Jr. has not held back. On Thursday he tweeted, “I’m no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying. Can’t do it to testify but for vacation, well, it’s not a problem at all.”
