Let’s recount quickly on this Saturday morning what occurred over these past couple of days — and take a look at some of the social media outpourings about this.
An emotional Dr. Christine Blasey Ford of California — who claims Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than 35 years ago, when they were both high school teenagers — testified Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill. She told of being a house gathering in the suburban Washington, D.C., area when she was 15 and claimed that Kavanaugh — together with another friend, Mark Judge — locked her in an upstairs bedroom and pushed her onto a bed. She said Kavanaugh jumped on top of her and tried to rip her clothes off before she ultimately escaped.
She claimed she has been traumatized ever since. She said that for years she had never told anyone because she felt ashamed that she had been 15, had been drinking a beer, and had been at a house party with no parents present.
Shortly after her appearance, a passionate and indignant Brett Kavanaugh — who has denied all of her allegations against him from the moment they and others emerged — also testified.
He denied under oath and before the American people that he did no such thing, as he has said all along.
He also said, “This is a circus. This confirmation process has become a national disgrace.”
The testimonies of both individuals have been widely viewed as “credible.”
Although the retiring Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who is one of President Donald Trump’s harshest GOP critics, had declared his support for the Kavanaugh nomination early on Friday, ultimately he succumbed to pressure from his Democratic peers on the committee who wanted a new FBI investigation into the charges.
So Flake ultimately voted for moving the nomination to the full Senate — on the condition that GOP leaders agree to a “limited in scope,” one-week delay for the FBI to conduct an investigation into the allegations. Kavanaugh has already undergone six FBI background investigations during his decades of public service.
In the wake of this remarkable turn of events, and even before all those events unfolded, there’s been an outpouring on Twitter and other social media platforms, with those on the Left posting comments using the #DelayTheVote hashtag.
These are worth reviewing to see the immediate bias and rampant anti-Trump sentiment at work.
A variety of other comments are included here, too.
Have a gander at some of these, then post your own thoughts in the comments section below this article.
“Can someone — committee staff, the FBI, press — please investigate this potential corroboration to Dr. Ford’s testimony? Does the house drinking gathering in Kavanaugh’s calendar for July 1 match Dr. Ford’s sworn testimony? Does the house layout corroborate Ford?” wondered Sen. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.).
(Yes, there are people honing in on a calendar entry of Brett Kavanaugh’s from July 1, 1982.)

And then there is this: “One of the few good things coming out of all of this is the ability to see who some of these Republicans truly are. Jeff Flake is a complete fraud. Grassley is an angry troll. Graham is a disgrace. All of them are pawns for Trump. This is not a democracy.”
So said Scott Dworkin — a Democratic strategist and a co-founder of the Democratic Coalition.

And then there’s this, from the People for Bernie group: “Don’t just confront them in restaurants. Confront them in elevators … on trains …. on planes … in hallways.”
And on and on it goes.
See this tweet:
Don't just confront them in restaurants.
Confront them in elevators.
Confront them on trains.
Confront them on planes.
Confront them in hallways.
Confront them in public.
Confront them in private.
We cannot allow them to normalize their greed and horror.#DelayTheVote

If they delay the vote on Kavanaugh, President Trump better charter the flight from South Bend and arrange child care for Amy Barrett. https://t.co/IIhl9DLoGd

#DelayTheVote is trending on cue. With the bottom of the barrel tactics, Hollywood and MSM (and then some) behind you, you have ruined a good man's name. And, he will STILL become Justice Kavanaugh of SCOTUS! ?? #GodIsGood
