Vehement anti-Trump Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) ratcheted up his hostile rhetoric during a campaign event recently when he celebrated how Democrats will be “totally kicking the s***” out of Republicans following the November 2018 midterm elections.

“Guys and ladies, we are less than 60 days from totally kicking the s*** out of the Republicans. What do you think about that?” Gallego (pictured above) told a cheering crowd of supporters this past weekend during a Get Out the Vote rally with the Maricopa County Democratic Party.

“And I’m not just talking about the blue districts,” a gleeful Gallego added. “We are going to win and turn this state blue.”

Gallego, who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2015, also urged Democratic voters “to fight” for their values against GOP “cowards.”

“So, every day we are out there, we have to fight. We have to fight because Republicans are cowards, and they’re gonna continue to be cowards,” Gallego insisted.

“We have to fight because it’s only us that will fight for everyday Americans.”

Some Democratic lawmakers have escalated their passionate and hostile rhetoric ever since President Donald Trump stunned the nation in 2016 by defeating Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton as Republicans cemented their congressional majorities.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in particular began speaking in earnest about impeaching Trump shortly after he took office because she disliked his policies, personality and rhetoric.

Waters, a prominent member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the ranking Democrat on the House Committee on Financial Services, is one of Trump’s most vocal congressional critics.

The congresswoman also fielded bipartisan backlash in June after she urged liberals to escalate their public harassment of Trump administration officials and other high-profile Republicans.

“If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothing yet,” Waters told a rally in Los Angeles. “If you see anybody from that [Trump] Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Waters’ comments came after White House press secretary Sarah Sanders revealed that the owner of The Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, asked her to leave because she worked for Trump.

The congresswoman doubled down on her calls for confrontation during an MSNBC interview, saying “these members of his Cabinet who remain and try to defend [Trump], they won’t be able to go to a restaurant, they won’t be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store. The people are going to turn on them … They’re going to protest. They’re absolutely going to harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the president, ‘No, I can’t hang with you.'”

As for Gallego, this wasn’t the first time his passionate remarks raised eyebrows either.

Gallego warned U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on Twitter in late August that “you will not be safe.”

“If you are a U.S. government official and you are deporting Americans be warned. When the worm turns you will not be safe because you were just following orders. You do not have to take part in illegal acts ordered by this president’s administration,” Gallego tweeted.
