The mainstream media ceaselessly make fun of the 45th president of the United States, but they cannot in any way deny that when President Donald Trump speaks to the people — thousands and thousands of them at one time, in arena after arena after arena across the country — he is successful, emphatic, clear and memorable.

This president’s ability to communicate his messaging and his successes on behalf of America and the American people, time after time, will be studied undoubtedly for years to come.

Trump addressed some 9,000 people Thursday night in a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, which was part campaign stump — he boosted the candidacy of Rep. Lou Barletta in his bid against Democrat Sen. Bob Casey — part pep rally, and part public thank-you and acknowledgment to the voters who helped put him in the White House in the fall of 2016 and on whose support he and the Republican Party are counting in this year’s fall midterm elections.

Those same voters, every chance they get, are now coming out to hear the president speak ahead of those midterms.

At every opportunity on Thursday night, Trump shared some of the successes his administration has so far enjoyed, along with some of the challenges that remain, including securing the American borders, fixing illegal immigration and the problems associated with it, and much more.

Trump said at one point, “I met with NATO … NATO has been ripping us [off]. We’ve been defending Europe and they are not paying their bills. So I went in and said, ‘Folks, you’ve gotta pay up. You are delinquent.’ They will be paying $200 billion,” the president declared.

“It took me one hour — but it was a rough hour,” said Trump, as the crowd cheered for a period of time.

“The head of NATO, Secretary-General Stoltenberg, said to the press, ‘They don’t report it, they only make up stories,'” recounted Trump. “They only make [them] up …”

“So what happened?” added Trump. “He [Stoltenberg] said, ‘Last year alone’ — because of what I did the previous year — ‘we took in $44 billion more.’ You have to understand,” said Trump, “this is money to guard against Russia.”

Trump added, “I wouldn’t say [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s thrilled about that. Not thrilled.”

In total, the president spoke to the people for roughly an hour and 20 minutes.

He also has a third rally of the week coming up in Ohio on Saturday night, which LifeZette will livestream.
