Leftists still hoping Oprah Winfrey will run for president in 2020 will be happy with a summer issue of the media mogul’s O Magazine.

That’s right: In the July issue of O Magazine, Winfrey promoted Amelia Bonow, the founder of the “Shout Your Abortion” movement.

“Shout Your Abortion” encourages women to share their personal stories about having abortions. Bonow was featured in the “Inspirations” section of the popular women’s magazine.

“[W]hen I found out that the House of Representatives had voted to defund Planned Parenthood, I kind of unraveled,” Bonow told the magazine about the beginnings of her movement.

“I opened Facebook and, without thinking, wrote, ‘Like a year ago, I had an abortion at Planned Parenthood … and I remember this experience with a nearly inexpressible level of gratitude.’ I hit Post 153 words later, and everything changed.”

Bonow went after the pro-life movement for giving a stigma to the act of having an abortion.

“The anti-choice movement wants it to be terrifying to speak the truth, because we can’t advocate for something we can’t say out loud. But the more of us who speak out, the clearer it becomes that all sorts of people have abortions, including people you love,” she said.

Bonow shared her own story online — and just like that, the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion quickly went viral.

“On some level, I’d internalized the stigma — though I honestly wasn’t ashamed. Then why hide? It wasn’t out of character for me to disclose something so personal online. What was out of character was my silence,” she said.

Bonow will reportedly be releasing a book soon, titled “Shout Your Abortion.”

Winfrey will no doubt be one of the first to help promote it and to do all she can to help it succeed.
