We must indeed be in the hazy, lazy last days of summer, because some people in the Twittersphere have found an amazing amount of time and energy to devote to bashing Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Guilfoyle is set to serve as new vice chairwoman of America First Action, a super PAC formed by Trump allies to help elect conservative candidates, while Don Jr. — the president’s oldest son — is a businessman and vocal supporter of the administration’s agenda.

A recent photo of the couple was quickly turned into a meme after social media users began tweeting that the couple looked very airbrushed in the photo.

It’s ironic when the tweets come from celebrities like Chrissy Teigen — who spends a lot of time on Twitter sharing glam and probably re-touched photos of herself, and terming herself a “de-motivational speaker” on Twitter.

She tweeted of the photo, “Hello we are robots beedoo boop…”

One liberal outlet was quick to pick up on the internet snark. “If you’ve ever wondered what Don Jr. looks like without any pores whatsoever, then today’s your lucky day!” said AOL in a comedic gem.

And then came this jab, too: “Kim and Don have a habit of sharing heavily edited photos that fall right in the uncanny valley. This set of selfies are [sic] unsettlingly smooth.”

Another posted the couple’s picture aongside what AOL termed a “botched fresco of Jesus.” Witty.

Neither Trump Jr. nor Guilfoyle have responded to the memes — probably too busy doing other things, and things that are far more important, such as working on behalf of Americans everywhere.
