Jim Carrey’s transformation from beloved movie star funnyman to crazed leftist painter has been jarring — to say the least.

It was once hard to deny the actor’s talents. His manic energy and over-the-top dedication led to major hits including “Liar, Liar” and “Dumb and Dumber.”

In recent years, however, Carey has ditched the comedy and seems to be committing himself to anti-conservative paintings he reveals through Twitter.

The paintings have been controversial in the past, but that is not stopping the comedian one bit from this activity.

Carrey’s latest painting depicts a scene showing President Donald Trump burning at the stake.

The word “witch” is plastered across the artwork.

Carrey has targeted other White House employees in the past with his paintings, including White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Carrey’s decision to call the current sitting president of the United States a “witch” is a running theme in his work.

A past painting of his had Trump in a witch’s hat and labeled the president the “wicked witch of the West Wing.”

The actor’s “witch” accusations are likely connected to the fact that the president often calls the still-ongoing investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election a “witch hunt.”

With the massive acting and entertainment career Carrey has enjoyed over the years, it’s unlikely he has to worry about money at all these days — but it’s still worth noting that his career has really deteriorated since he decided to become so aggressively political and to go out of his way to comment on a range of moves by both the president and his administration.

Carrey’s most recent film, “Dark Crimes,” was barely released in theaters — and both critics and audience members pretty much tore it apart.

Other recent films, such as “Dumb and Dumber To,” have also had disappointing performances at the box office.

Carrey will next jump into the world of television with Showtime’s dark comedy “Kidding.”

He will also provide his voice to an upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog” movie.
