Eric Trump, one of the sons of President Donald Trump, suggested that he and his family have had some frightening threats made against them — and he questioned where the mainstream media’s outrage is about such occurrences.

“I’ve been threatened,” Eric Trump said on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program “Hannity” Thursday night. “We’ve all had white powder show up at our house … There’s no moral outrage about that,” he said.

The president’s son said the media fail to call out the threats and insults toward him and his family, including toward his younger brother, Barron. Hannity himself questioned the potential impact on 12-year-old Barron when he sees comedian and provocateur Kathy Griffin holding up a prop designed to look like the severed head of his own father, President Donald Trump.

Eric Trump also called it “incredible” that the outcry over his father’s supporters chanting “CNN sucks” is so much stronger than the media’s concern about Kathy Griffin’s outrageous stunt toward Trump, along with other extreme stunts and rhetoric from those on the Left.

Trump also noted the media show no outrage over the protests Ben Shapiro, editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire, and other conservatives face when they attempt to speak as guests on college campuses.

“Let the man have freedom of speech, let him speak to people who want to listen to him,” Trump said to Hannity about Shapiro. “But when it happens to them, when they’re offended by a message, all of a sudden” it’s a big deal, he said.

This week Mark Roberts, a House candidate from Oregon  — who describes himself as an “independent conservative” — called the first lady the vile term “hoebag,” among other scurrilous insults.

“You know how much that was reported? … One of the most disgusting comments [toward Melania Trump]. You know what they said about that? Nothing,” said Eric Trump.

“You know who was the only person who actually really [had] Melania’s back?” asked Trump. “Laura Ingraham.”

“Laura Ingraham came out and she was punching,” he continued, referring to the Fox News host of “The Ingraham Angle” and the co-founder of LifeZette.

Hannity interrupted him to say that he, too, had defended the first lady.

The point was taken: When it comes to morality and defending someone else’s treatment as a human being no matter what the person’s political affiliation, the Left takes a pass.
