A group of violent protesters demonstrating under the Antifa banner threatened reporters over the weekend in two incidents.

These went largely unreported by a liberal mainstream media obsessed with a tiny band of white supremacists in the nation’s capital.

A USA Today reporter was shouted down and threatened with violence by the protesters during a counterprotest against the white supremacist Unite the Right 2 rally.

The counterprotesters reportedly attacked police and threatened onlookers as well.

Breitbart News took footage that shows two members of Antifa graphically cursing at and shouting down the USA Today reporter while telling her to “stop taking pictures.” (Warning, graphic language in the video.)

The incident was similar to another confrontation between members of the far left-wing agitators and journalists, which was largely ignored as well.

In that incident, NBC News reporter Cal Perry captured a video (warning, graphic language there) of an Antifa protester shouting a string of obscenities at him — “F*** you, snitch a** news bitch. F*** you” — before physically hitting the journalist’s camera.

Perry was filming Antifa protesters on Saturday during their protest in Charlottesville, Virginia.

That video got some media attention from outlets such as The Washington Post, CNN, and Vox — but was otherwise ignored.

The media was much more focused on the few dozen rally participants in Washington, D.C., who were significantly outnumbered by the counterprotesters.

Host Chris Cuomo of CNN even defended the counterprotesters as morally superior to the white supremacists.

In a Monday broadcast, Cuomo declared that “all punches are not equal morally” if white supremacists are involved in a melee with Antifa.

Cuomo qualified his statement slightly by acknowledging that “in the eyes of the law” a punch is a punch.

But “people who show up to fight against bigots are not to be judged the same as the bigots, even if they do resort to the same petty violence,” Cuomo said, because “fighting against hate matters.”

Cuomo has received little pushback in the mainstream media despite arguing, in effect, that the end of opposing bigotry justifies using any means, including physical violence.
