“The last three years have been the most transformative of my life. I have given my heart and soul to this place,” said Abby Huntsman on Sunday in a tearful goodbye to her colleagues and friends at “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
On her last appearance on the show as a co-host, Huntsman was shown clips of her time with the popular program — and then given parting goodbyes by her co-workers.
“This is a really tough thing,” she said, adding that she is moving onto the “next chapter” in her life and that she looks forward to spending more time with her family.
She is married and has one daughter.
Huntsman, who is 32 years old, will be joining “The View” as a co-host. She’ll likely be a welcome addition to the show for many conservative fans, as she is the second right-leaning voice on the leftist program after Meghan McCain, who often gets into heated disagreements and conversations with the staunch anti-Trump co-hosts. Those disagreements and remarks tend to go viral.
Though she’s joining “The View,” Huntsman — who is the daughter of John Huntsman Jr., the current U.S. ambassador to Russia (he’s served in that position since October of last year) — made it clear she will miss Fox News and those she’s worked with over the past few years.
“The people I work with are the very best in the business,” she said, adding that she has “friends forever” from her time with the network.
In a public statement, Fox News thanked Huntsman for her time with the network.
“We thank Abby for her contributions to Fox News and wish her the very best,” the company said.
