Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), one of President Donald Trump’s most outspoken critics, suggested from a church pulpit last Sunday that she’s on a heavenly assignment to stop the president — and, in that spirit, she blasted the Trump administration on a range of hot-button issues.

“You’ve got to know that I’m here to do the work that I was sent to do, and as Pastor said to me when I came in this morning, ‘When God sends you to do something, you just do it!'” she exclaimed, addressing the congregation at First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles.

“So I have a message,” said Waters to the cheers and applause of the congregation. “I’m going back to Washington tomorrow [Monday] morning. I’m going to tell them Pastor told me to come here and just do it!” she emphasized.

Waters also told the congregation that “Russia elected this president,” and declared, “We never dreamed we’d have someone in the White House who was divisive, who could not tell the truth, and who was intent on not making America great again, but taking America down!”

Waters also criticized Trump’s health care policies along with the separation of adults and children at the U.S. southern border.

Last week a group of demonstrators burned and stomped on an American flag outside Waters’ LA office while shouting, “America was never great!” as Fox News reported.

Waters may have raised the rafters at church — but back at the office she’s facing an ethics complaint.

Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against her on June 25 for “inciting violence and assaults on the Trump Cabinet,” said Tom Fitton, president of the watchdog organization.

The group delivered a letter to the chairman and co-chairman of the House office of congressional ethics, as the Washington Times and other outlets noted; and it called for an investigation to ascertain whether or not Waters violated House ethics rules by encouraging violence against Trump Cabinet members.

In her now-infamous rant at an LA rally, Waters told a crowd, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
