The teaser trailer for the new season of “Last Man Standing” includes a winking nod to the right-leaning sitcom’s controversial cancellation by ABC last year.

The video opens with Tim Allen and Nancy Travis reprising their roles of Mike and Vanessa Baxter. They’re sitting around a campfire as Vanessa repeatedly says she can be a “fox.”

Allen’s Baxter responds, “I know somebody’s gonna be happy you said that three times.”

“Last Man Standing” will premiere its seventh season on its new network on Friday, September 28, at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
