Kim Kardashian Earns ‘New Respect’ After Refusing to Bash President Trump
Reality television star, who has worked with the chief executive, is getting heaps of praise from unlikely people after her Kimmel appearance
Kim Kardashian has gained some new fans since her Monday night interview with liberal late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Though she was there to promote the 15th season of her reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” she found herself the victim of Kimmel’s incessant attempts to bait her.
The left-leaning host spent most of the interview trying to lure her into saying something bad about President Donald Trump.
When Kardashian had had enough of Kimmel’s goading, she simply said, “I have nothing bad to say about the president. He’s done something amazing.”
She praised Trump for meeting with her earlier in the year and agreeing to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, a 62-year-old great grandmother who had been spending a lifetime behind bars for a nonviolent drug crime she had committed decades ago.
People have taken to social media to express a newfound respect for Kardashian because she kept her cool and stayed classy in the face of Kimmel’s obvious antics.
“Good for her for not getting into the gutter with him,” wrote a Facebook user.
Another commented, “I was never a fan of Kim Kardashian but I have found a new respect for her [for] not lowering herself to that slimeball Kimmel’s level.”
Others had similar things to say.
“I have to give her huge credit. The only person in Hollywood who doesn’t have something bad to say. Very respectful!”
“Class act! She doesn’t need to belittle anyone to look good.”
“Whatever you think of her, she showed more class than Kimmel. She refused to be baited.”
“[I have] new respect for the name Kardashian.”
“Kimmel has no talent other than to bash Trump,” said another person. “Miss the real talent of night shows like Johnny Carson. Real entertainment!”
Prominent conservative commentators have also been giving Kardashian applause on social media.
For this she deserves to be commended!!

Kimmel, meanwhile, continues to irk many Americans with his aggressively political and anti-Trump show.
“That’s all he’s got, bashing the president. He has nothing else to offer,” said one person on social media.
“Kimmel just can’t move on, can he?”
“Can’t Jimmy find a different song to sing? This one is real old!”
