Johnny Depp is having an odd year — and now he’s being sued for allegedly assaulting someone on the set of “City of Lies,” a film that will be released in theaters this September.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star recently gave an odd interview to Rolling Stone in which he revealed he was spending $50,000 a month on wine at one point — and also hiring people to play strange noises to him through an earpiece on movie sets.

“It creates a truth,” he said about the earpiece reveal.

His former managers claim he uses the earpieces to have lines from the script fed to him. Those former managers are now suing Depp for what they claim are unpaid commissions.

But even beyond that, Gregg “Rocky” Brooks was hired as a location scout for the movie — and he alleges he had an altercation with Depp while the film was shooting in downtown L.A.

The lawsuit, according to TMZ, claims that Depp exploded on Brooks after the location scout informed the actor he only had one more shot at a scene because they were going to lose the location. The suit was filed on Friday and was reported by other outlets as well.

Brooks alleges that Depp screamed at him using the F-word, and added, “You have no right to tell me what to do.” He also claims Depp punched him twice in the rib cage and offered him $100,000 to hit the actor in the face.

Brooks says Depp smelled of alcohol and was removed from the set by his bodyguards.

Depp stars as real-life Detective Russell Poole in “City of Lies.” The film follows Poole’s investigation into the murder of rapper Biggie Smalls in 1997. Poole passed away in 2015.
