New flash! Kathy Griffin is kicking off her “comeback tour” — yet again.

She’s now coming to the defense of TBS late-night host Samantha Bee after the woman’s hideous rant about Ivanka Trump.

Ex-celebrity Griffin attended a red carpet event on Tuesday night and received the Rainbow Key award from the city of West Hollywood. She is credited with raising $5 million for HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ causes.

“She was saying, ‘Hey, you blankety-blank name, talk to your father, do something,'” Griffin said, referring to Bee’s comment about Ivanka Trump.

“So, that language wasn’t even a punchline. And yet, this is very typical for ‘feckless,'” she continued.

“‘Feckless’ choose to focus on ‘Ooh, someone said something bad about me, Daddy make them pay,'” Griffin said, donning a pouty face as she relayed her twisted account.

“Well, I’ve been the person who Daddy made pay,” she continued.

Her sob story leaves out the point that she received backlash while adopting ISIS “beheading” imagery to malign the president cruelly.

Just as Samantha Bee later recanted her faux apology for calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c***,” Kathy Griffin is without remorse for the actions that led to her removal from CNN guest appearances.

This isn’t the first time Griffin has spoken out on Bee’s behalf. Last Thursday, she urged Bee not to apologize.

“Please do not be hard on [Samantha Bee] for apologizing. While I was hoping she wouldn’t, I know first hand what it’s like being put through the Trump wood chipper … What she’s going through right now is crazy. All for a bleeped word. Comics [are] held to higher standards than the president,” Griffin wrote.

Absent is her defense, of course, of Roseanne Barr, who lost her smash-hit television show within hours after she tweeted out tasteless words about former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.

Unlike Roseanne Barr, who repeatedly said she was “sorry” for the disgusting joke she made but was fired anyway, Bee has weathered the scrutiny fairly unscathed, due in part to support by network producers and script writers for her vulgar dialogue.

It appears Griffin and Bee are two birds of a feather.

Kathy Griffin said she was “sorry” — or, as a parent of a guilty child caught with an extra cookie might say, “Sorry she got caught.”

It appears Griffin and Bee are two birds of a feather: They are Hollywood hypocrites whose words should not be taken seriously.
