It seems comedian Kathy Griffin has learned nothing from the fallout over her infamous photo — in which she held up what appeared to be the severed head of President Donald Trump.

After a tearful apology for the foul stunt — yes, she tried to convince people she had gone “too far” — Griffin then did a complete 180 and attempted to double down on her vulgar anti-Trump behavior.

She has since revealed herself to be perhaps Hollywood’s most vapid and hypocritical leftist, which is really, really saying something.

Instead of targeting the president himself, now Griffin has gone after the first lady.

First question: Isn’t this getting old?

Second: Doesn’t she have anything better to do?

Here’s what spurred Griffin’s latest activity. Over the weekend, in answer to a question about how illegal immigrant families are being separated at the border, Melania Trump’s office told Fox News in a statement on Sunday, “Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families & hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform. She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws but also a country that governs w/heart.”

But that statement was not enough for Griffin — she decided to go after Mrs. Trump personally. “F*** you, Melanie [sic]. You know damn well your husband can end this immediately … you feckless complicit piece of s***.”

The misspelling of Melania Trump’s name as Melanie was deliberate by Griffin, by the way; it was an allusion to a previous tweet from the president in which he misspelled his wife’s name. (Everyone knows, of course, that the president of the United States tweets quickly to get his points out to the American people and doesn’t run his material by a copy editor first.)

Many Twitter users have responded negatively to Griffin’s comments, but there has been, predictably, no outrage in the mainstream media.

Can you imagine a conservative celebrity saying such things about Michelle Obama — and then receiving radio silence from mainstream media outlets?
