We’re officially off the rails.

May 23rd is now “Stormy Daniels Day” in West Hollywood, California.

She received a key to the city as well.

The location of the cringe-worthy soirée was quite fitting. The “ceremony” was held at Chi Chi LaRue’s in West Hollywood, a sex shop named for Larry David Paciotti, a director of gay pornographic films, ABC reported.

“Nothing says ‘you’re being honored’ like getting a key to the city in front of a sex shop owned by a drag queen porn director,” joked Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo Wednesday night on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“Did he use the word ‘dignity’?” asked host Laura Ingraham incredulously, referring to a clip in which a West Hollywood official compared her comportment in recent legal escapades to Lady Godiva.

“They said she’s a profile in courage. She’s a profile in cleavage,” Arroyo added.

So it’s official: Government officials in this country are bestowing honorifics on washed-up adult film stars.

The city’s mayor, John Duran, was downright jubilant about the bizarre honorific.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

Stormy Daniels is the adult film actress represented by attorney Michael Avenatti right now. Despite signing a nondisclosure agreement in exchange for $130,000, Daniels — whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — told the world about an alleged extramarital affair with Donald Trump a dozen years ago.

President Trump denied the affair, and now “brave” Stormy is suing Trump and his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, for defamation.

How does this mess lead to receiving a key to the city and having a date in May dedicated to her forevermore? Apparently she has proved “herself to be a profile in courage by speaking truth to power even under threats to her safety and extreme intimidation.”

Not that it’s blatantly partisan or anything, but the “city has passed several resolutions speaking out against policies of the Trump administration and has called for the initiation of impeachment proceedings against President Trump.”

West Hollywood’s Mayor John Duran also somehow hailed Stormy Daniels as a “brave, courageous woman taking on the biggest bully in America” — and used all of this to promote and protect LGBT rights.

Meanwhile, those of us who live in the real world will on Monday be celebrating our country’s real heroes, the men and women who gave their lives in the service of our country.

They may not have keys to the city or days named after them — but they are the people who should come to mind when our kids hear someone has been given a key to an American city.
