President Donald Trump made an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Hospital on Tuesday to check on the health of his wife, Melania.

It hasn’t gotten much attention in the mainstream media — except in desperate attempts by liberals to try to slam the president.

The president left aboard Marine One to make the visit to his wife, as reported by CBS News. Melania Trump underwent successful surgery on Monday to treat a benign kidney condition at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

She’s expected to leave the hospital at the end of this week.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the president provided an update: “Our great First Lady is doing really well. Will be leaving hospital in 2 or 3 days. Thank you for so much love and support!”

Trump also said she’s “watching us right now … She sends her love.”

As LifeZette reported earlier, the president visited with the first lady and her doctor prior to her surgery. Trump also visited Melania afterward on Monday evening, and he thanked the American people for their good wishes.

“The procedure was successful, and there were no complications,” the White House said in a statement.

“The first lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.”

The great majority of Americans are wishing the first lady nothing but a speedy recovery.

While Melania Trump’s surgery has been a success — cruelly, the president’s detractors have said they wish that weren’t the case.

Others criticized the president for not making more time to visit the first lady. Thankfully, the great majority of Americans are wishing the first lady nothing but a speedy recovery.
