Bob Iger, who runs Disney, reportedly called former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett this week to apologize for a tweet sent out by former ABC star Roseanne Barr. Disney, of course, owns ABC.

But the Disney chief apparently did not call the president of the United States to share any similar mea culpas for vile things his employees have said about the president or his administration.

As most of the American public knows by now, the Barr tweet in question targeted Jarrett and said she appeared to be a cross between the “Muslim Brotherhood and ‘Planet of the Apes.'”

Barr quickly apologized for the joke, but many deemed the tweet racist, as Jarrett is African-American.

“From Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment: ‘Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant, and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.’ There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing,” tweeted Iger.

The Disney CEO then went a step further and called Jarrett, according to the president. That is when Donald Trump pointed out that he never received a call of apology from Iger on behalf of the many ABC employees who have personally insulted him and his administration.

“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?” tweeted the president on Wednesday.

No one is debating whether or not Barr’s tweet about Jarrett was insensitive. It was a joke in terrible taste; even so, the cancellation of her highly rated show seems an incredibly harsh response, especially when one considers that Disney employs people who have said much, much worse things.

The Disney-owned ESPN even recently hired Keith Olbermann — someone who has a history of making vulgar statements about conservatives, especially conservative women.

The president has a point. Why are the people targeted on the Right not treated with the same respect as those targeted on the Left?

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said as much on Wednesday, too, ripping Bob Iger for his “double standard” when it comes to his employees’ conduct.
