So-called “humor” that goes after the president of the United States is nothing but low-hanging fruit these days.

There’s an overabundance of not-so-creative comedians who simply base the majority of their material around everything and anything related to President Donald Trump.

There are, however, a few rare comedians who have no interest in material about the president.

Speaking to David Letterman on the former late-night host’s Netflix show, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” Jerry Seinfeld made clear that Donald Trump will not be making his way into the comedian’s routines any time soon.

“No, it doesn’t interest me. I do a lot of raisin stuff,” said Seinfeld. “I have a lot of raisin material. Because, you know, you have the Sun-Maid company, and you have the Raisinet people.”

Seinfeld’s quickness in changing the subject from the president to a silly bit about raisins shows he’s legitimate about staying away from politics.

Letterman tried to bait Seinfeld once more by asking him about Michelle Wolf’s controversial White House Correspondent’s Association Dinner performance.

“I really had great admiration for the fact that she was able to just walk into that room and decimate the place,” said Letterman, working hard to get Seinfeld to spill something.

Seinfeld responded by saying he doesn’t know Wolf — but he appreciates any comedian who works his or her material in front of a crowd.

Comedians should be taking notes on Seinfeld’s recent words. While they get lost in a mass of Trump hysteria coming from the Left and lose all originality and creativity, Seinfeld is continuing to push forward with comedy and entertainment that appeals to people of all political beliefs.
