Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Rob Schneider is no fan of Alec Baldwin’s impression of President Donald Trump on the late-night comedy program.

“If you read his Twitter feed, if you know how he feels politically — the joke’s given away. There’s no surprise,” Schneider told LifeZette about the impression in a recent interview.

The comedian said he admires Baldwin as a performer and thinks the actor is a great host. But Schneider said Baldwin’s true political feelings hinder the comedy he tries to bring to his impressions of the president.

Schneider repeated the sentiment in a later interview with the New York Daily News.

“You kind of assumed they would lean more Left and liberal, but now … they are completely against Trump, which I think makes it less interesting because you know the direction the piece is going,” he said.

Despite the criticism, Baldwin actually thinks Schneider is partly right.

“I must admit @RobSchneider does have a point,” the actor wrote on Twitter, linking to an article about Schneider’s criticisms.

Schneider followed up with tweets further explaining his opinion on the Baldwin impression.
