This year’s Oscars clearly were a disaster.

The ratings crashed, and host Jimmy Kimmel acted like a panting dog that was trying to earn a treat from the “woke” mafia on Twitter.

Post-Oscar talk has had everything to do with the many political statements made on Sunday night and almost nothing to do with the actual films that were supposed to be recognized.

President Donald Trump himself took to Twitter on Tuesday to troll elitist leftist Hollywood celebs by pouring salt on the wound that is the low ratings of the town’s biggest night of the year.

“Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore — except your President (just kidding, of course)!” he tweeted.

The tweet put many anti-Trumpers in an uproar online (such is their life; they seem to twitch to the tune of every presidential proclamation). But the president knew exactly what he was doing.

He was, after all, an entertainer himself for many years, not to mention a successful businessman with finely tuned instincts and a shrewd negotiator — and in just one tweet, he managed to be funnier, sharper and more entertaining than Kimmel was over the course of four long, excruciating hours this past Sunday night.
