The verdict is in on the Left’s nuttiest stunts this week — and their laughable attempts to explain themselves.

On Wednesday night’s “The Ingraham Angle,” on Fox News, host Laura Ingraham and contributor Raymond Arroyo took no prisoners as they broke down some of the craziest culture stories to emerge lately.

They set the record straight on Jim Carrey’s disturbing new paintings, The College of the Holy Cross’s politically correct logo change, and even Disney.

(On the latter, in a fit of #MeToo compliance, the “Imagineers” at Disney World revamped a classic scene in their recently re-opened “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride, People reported. The scene formerly had featured a redhead available for purchase at a “wench auction”; it now features “Redd” as a female pirate/thief who has raided the fictional town’s rum supply.)

LifeZette added another one to this list as well …

Let’s look closely at a few here:

Jim Carrey
The Liberal Spin: The formerly successful and beloved comic actor Jim Carrey has taken up painting in his “retirement.” The creative artist uses social media to converse with fans — and to keep them apprised of his most recent endeavors.

The Jury’s In: Since disappearing from the big screen, Carrey’s politically liberal tirades on social media have become increasingly disturbing and bizarre. He often includes paintings he sometimes calls “comics,” which lend visual evidence for what goes on in this man’s mind.

This week, for example, he created a monstrous depiction of White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, along with this foul rant describing it: “This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!”

“It looks like it was drawn in an insane asylum or something,” Arroyo said of Carrey’s painted image of Sanders.

Appropriately, Arroyo called Carrey’s accompanying comments “bigoted” and “anti-Christian.”

Unfortunately, Carrey was particularly prolific this week. He also created a portrait of Mark Zuckerberg to express his concerns about the Cambridge Analytica debacle — in which Facebook admitted to allowing third-party developers to access users’ data. Heads up: Carrey added some obscenity-laced text to his portrait to “cement” his point.

(On Wednesday Zuckerberg finally made a statement about the data mess: “This was a major breach of trust and I’m really sorry this happened,” he said in an interview with CNN. “Our responsibility now is to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”)

Carrey’s offerings this week also included not one but two portraits of President Donald Trump, for whom his hatred is on full display.

“That’s not even funny,” Ingraham said of the portrait of Trump as the Wicked Witch of the West Wing.

“Something is wrong with the man,” Arroyo replied.

“To steal somebody’s line, ‘Shut up and clown’,” Arroyo advised the troubled funny man — in a reference, of course, to Ingraham’s signature line going back to her book of more than a dozen years ago, “Shut Up & Sing: How Elites from Hollywood, Politics and the Media Are Subverting America.”

The College of the Holy Cross
The Liberal Spin: A small Jesuit college in Worcester, Massachusetts, demonstrated its commitment to the obliteration of Islamophobia and the pursuit of nonviolence by changing its logo from a knight to a shield. The knight, of course, is reminiscent of the Crusades and an obviously offensive symbol lauding Christianity’s abhorrently violent past.

The Jury’s In: Holy Cross sold out. It caved to the politically correct demands to sanitize itself of references to the school’s being — gasp! — religious. In a quiet bid to retain at least a bit of its identity — the school was established in 1843 — it opted to keep the “Crusader” nickname for its athletic teams.

“What are they embarrassed about now?” asked Ingraham, joking about the school’s blatantly PC maneuverings.

“They are stripping their logo and their mascot because it is ‘violent’ and ‘Islamophobic,'” Arroyo explained.

“They’re changing history,” said Ingraham, referring to the reality that the Crusades were a defensive war on Christians’ part.

Holy Cross was careful to couch the move, though, lest it suffer the slings and arrows of liberal attacks. The president of the school, Rev. Philip Boroughs, noted in a letter to students, alumni and staff that the modern sense of the word “crusader” is of one who stands for positive principles, The Washington Times reported.

Honesty and respect for tradition apparently are not among those principles.

As is often the case, folks on social media were having none of it — and called out the hypocrisy of the matter.

Hillary Clinton
The Liberal Spin: Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton expressed her concerns on the world stage regarding the dangers of installing ill-equipped individuals to positions of power.

The Jury’s In: Clinton showed her true colors during a Dutch television interview in which she opted to trash first daughter Ivanka Trump. The interviewer probed Clinton about the possibility that President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka — an intelligent, respected, accomplished businesswoman who also serves as a senior presidential adviser — could one day become the first female president herself.

Clinton dismissed the idea out of hand. “That’s not going to happen.”

“We don’t want any more inexperienced Trumps in the White House,” she added in matter-of-fact fashion to the interviewer. If that weren’t bad enough, she also said, “The American people have seen for themselves what happens when a reality TV candidate wins.”

Jaded much, Hillary? Can’t even bring yourself to praise another woman because she happens to be a family member of the guy who cleaned your clock in 2016?

Other women seem to manage it. . .
