MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, ripped “the entire mainstream media” for “being anti-Trump on all things” during a Wednesday podcast preview — even though the two admitted they spend much of their time on the air bashing President Donald Trump.

Scarborough and Brzezinski frequently speculate about the state of Trump’s mental health and whether he is suffering from the early stages of dementia. The two have also made no secret of their aversion to the president’s “Make America Great Again” agenda.

But in a Thursday Katie Couric podcast previewed by The Hollywood Reporter, the co-hosts went after the mainstream media at large for their hostile coverage of Trump.

“The entire mainstream media, we are reflexively anti-Trump on all things,” Scarborough said. Brzezinski chimed in, noting, “We’re over our skis, and it’s going to hurt us.”

Scarborough even admitted on the podcast that he and Brzezinski believe Trump — with whom they once had a friendly relationship — is mentally unfit to serve as president of the United States of America.

“We have a president, who Mika and I believe, through knowing him, is not mentally stable — is less stable than a year and a half ago when people on his campaign told me they believe he had early-onset dementia,” Scarborough said.

Media members “were not allowed to speak about” Trump’s mental fitness for office until Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” came to public notice last week, Scarborough claimed Monday.

But the two co-hosts have long speculated about Trump’s mental health, saying that he “is not a sane, rational human being” and “is completely incompetent, maybe even has some issues medically.”

Initial media coverage of Trump and his presidency was 62 percent negative while early coverage of former President Barack Obama was only 20 percent negative, according to the Pew Research Center.

“Coverage of Trump’s early time in office moved further away from a focus on the policy agenda and more toward character and leadership,” Pew said.

In addition, the Media Research Center (MRC) found that ABC, CBS and NBC news coverage of Trump was roughly 90 percent negative from January through November 2017.

Scarborough also admitted to Couric that he couldn’t “understand” why “people I’ve known and loved my entire life still support Trump.”

For his own part, Trump occasionally fired back at the engaged co-hosts after they heaped criticism upon him and speculated about his fitness for office. The president referred on Twitter to Brzezinski as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and dismissed “Psycho Joe.”

After NBC fired disgraced former host Matt Lauer over allegations of sexual misconduct in November, Trump urged the “Fake News practitioners at NBC” to “terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough.”
