You become who your friends are — or so our parents told us.
Maybe they were onto something.
Father Mike Schmitz, chaplain for Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Minnesota Duluth, shares a new emphasis on the importance of surrounding ourselves with positive influences.
“Common wisdom tells us we become the people we spend the most time with, so choose your friends wisely. In this video, Fr. Mike expands upon that advice to encourage Catholics to spend more time with God in prayer, and surround ourselves with people who practice Christian virtue,” reads the video’s description.
