2.) The Lockheart in Toronto’s Diagon Alley. Toronto is home to a bar that goes by the wonderful name of The Lockheart, where finally even “muggles” (non-wizards) can taste butterbeer and chocolate frogs (two staples from “Harry Potter”). It’s a dream come true for every J.K. Rowling fan.

Adorable Dobby figures, a small portrait gallery, and a note on the mirror in the bathroom reminding us, “Enemies of the heir, beware!” create a truly nostalgic atmosphere for anyone familiar with the “Potter” books or films. You will not get served cocktails, of course; you’ll get potions and elixirs with magical names like “Owl Post” (containing cherry vodka, lemon, tonic, and an acceptance letter), “Gin Weasley” (gin, triple sec, orange), or, for the most courageous Griffindors, “Dementor’s Kiss” (with 13 different kinds of chilis).

There are frequent “magic nights” here, where you can show off your knowledge of “Harry Potter” trivia and get charmed by a real magician. That’s all while munching on a “fantastic beets salad” (named after the Rowling spinoff book and movie) — hoping you’ll never have to return to the world of muggles.
