Woody Harrelson. Harrelson is one of the most surprising people to walk away from pot, as he has been an advocate for the drug’s legalization for decades.

However, on a personal level, he felt he needed to give the drug up after 30 years.

“I am a party animal,” the 55-year-old Harrelson said in an interview with Vulture in March. “But on the other hand, I’m now extremely moderate and …I actually stopped smoking pot almost a year ago.”

Harrelson added about his reason for quitting, “[It was] 30 solid years of partying too f***ing hard … I feel like it was keeping me from being emotionally available.”

Harrelson appears to be doing just fine since quitting.

His career, in fact, has arguably never been better.

He released his directorial debut, “Lost in London,” earlier this year, which was the first-ever live movie. Next up, he has high-profile roles in this summer’s “War for the Planet of the Apes” and Disney’s Han Solo “Star Wars” spinoff, set for release next year.
