Calling American manufacturers “the beating heart of our national life,” Pence thanked them on behalf of the president for “the corporate citizenship” that they display every day and have “woven into the very fabric of American life.”

“But we want you to do even more. President Trump has promised, in his words, to ‘set the stage for a great revival’ for our factories, to be back to ‘Buy American and Hire American’ again,” Pence said, recounting all the “red tape” and stifling regulations Trump has done away with through his executive orders during his first few months in office.
