“Conservatives are rightly frustrated with the process of repealing and replacing Obamacare that has played out this year,” he said in a statement. “It is clear that significant portions of the Republican Party have no intention of actually repealing Obamacare despite campaigning on that objective for years.”

Even President Donald Trump suggested he is not satisfied.

“Little negotiation, but it’s going to be good,” he said in brief comments to reporters on Thursday.

Democrats, of course, were even harsher in their assessment.

“It’s every bit as bad as the House bill,” Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on the House floor. “In some ways, it’s even worse … The Senate Republican health care bill is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, only this wolf has even sharper teeth than the House bill.”
