The last movie by Michael Moore was supposed to be the one that “stopped” Donald Trump. It didn’t work out that way.

The highly successful New York businessman was elected president — so now Moore needs to plead for Americans’ money once again with his newest project, which he promises most definitely will stop the president this time.

“No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie,” said Moore in a hyperbolic public statement about his next movie, “Fahrenheit 11/9.”

How clever. Get it? It’s all because “Fahrenheit 9/11” was his big hit, and 11/9 was the date that Donald Trump was officially declared victorious in the 2016 presidential election.

The film was announced Tuesday, but it has no release date yet. The rights have already been purchased by Harvey and Bob Weinsten, the same bigtime duo behind “Fahrenheit 9/11,” whom liberal Moore sued for millions of dollars of owed profits back in 2011.

Moore also has a new television series, aiming for a fall release date on TNT, entitled “Michael Moore Live From the Apocalypse,” which will likely be weekly tirades from him about Trump, Republicans, and the usual suspects. A better and more accurate title would be: “Michael Moore’s Twitter Comes to Life.”

As a filmmaker, Moore has very little credibility at this point. His editing style and deceptive filmmaking have been brought into question by numerous movies and books that have debunked the honesty of his work, especially “Bowling for Columbine” and “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

As a filmmaker, Moore has very little credibility left.

This is the same guy who ambushed an Alzheimer’s-afflicted Charlton Heston in “Columbine.” He blindsided the dying actor with questions about gun rights.

Moore has been proven time and time again again to be a shameless opportunist and a hypocrite. His Trump obsession comes after eight years of silence during Barack Obama’s time in office, even though the former president continued many George W. Bush policies and fulfilled almost no campaign promises that he spent so much time discussing.

Make no mistake: Moore is not a documentary filmmaker. He’s a director who sees nothing but an opportunity in Donald Trump. He doesn’t intend for “Fahrenheit 11/9” to stop the president. He doesn’t want to stop the president. The president is likely the best thing to happen to his Hollywood stock in a long while.
