Bond Goes to Space (“Moonraker”). If you thought a funhouse was weird, it was nothing compared to what producers had in store for Moore in 1979. “Moonraker” brought Bond to outer space to battle a villain who was planning on poisoning the world, while taking people with more favorable genes to his stolen spaceship.
The concept itself is what charmed. Boy, oh boy, is it silly — but it’s perfect proof of just how different they were willing to go with the Roger Moore films. Just check out this space fight scene from the movie. That’s right. A space fight scene.
