So he was more than surprised when his quest to prove Christianity was false led to his own conversion — which he wrote about in the 1998 bestselling book, “The Case for Christ.”

Now, an adaptation of the book is heading to the big screen April 7, from Pure Flix, which focuses on Christian and family friendly films.

Strobel is the author of more than 20 books and today is a teaching pastor at Woodlands Church in Texas. He recently joined the faculty at Houston Baptist University as a professor of christian thought.
