Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches sold at 250 Starbucks stores have been recalled by the supplier because they might be contaminated with Listeria, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA said on its website that testing revealed the presence of the potentially deadly bacteria at a production facility, prompting the recall.

The impacted locations include Starbucks stores in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Luckily, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.

The FDA describes Listeria as “an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.”

The FDA indicates the recall wasn’t technically Starbucks’ fault because the sandwich is manufactured by a Massachusetts-based company called Progressive Gourmet.
