President Obama’s unwillingness to acknowledge and address the roots of Islamic terror is putting the country at risk of suffering Paris- and Brussels-style terrorist attacks.

A lethal combination of inadequate security measures coupled with a politically-driven recusancy to combat the ideological origins of Islamic terrorism — or even acknowledge its existence — means it is only a matter of time before the sound of the takbir followed by an explosion is heard in an American city.

The United States is not providing the most basic security measures to prevent terror attacks, LifeZette Editor-in-Chief Laura Ingraham told “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday morning. “We are not monitoring the people who are coming into this country,” she said.

Ingraham compared airport security measures in Israel — where almost every belonging is searched thoroughly and one is questioned relentlessly on one’s business in the country — to those in the United States, in which everyone except those randomly chosen to fill meaningless quotas is waved through with a smile.

“Entry and exit fingerprinting was recommended by the 9/11 Commission [and] we’re still not doing it,” she said. Ingraham also highlighted the grave security threat posed by the weakness of the U.S.-Mexico border, which despite Democratic talking points is an easy point of entry for Islamic terrorists wishing to harm the American people.

“Illegal aliens from countries documented by the U.S. State Department as having known terrorism presence continue to be smuggled into and throughout Texas and the nation on a regular basis,” stated a Texas Department of Public Safety report leaked to the press in February 2015.

“It is impossible to determine how many of these individuals have actually entered the U.S. undetected,” the report continued. “There is a legitimate concern that terrorists from around the world could exploit our country’s porous Southwest border and enter the country undetected, if they have not done so already.”

The administration’s failure to prevent active Muslim jihadists from entering the country would be bad enough, but is surely made ten times worse by the administration’s complete refusal to acknowledge the very obvious Islamic roots of Islamic terror.

We’re not doing enough to combat terror, counterterrorism expert Dr. Sebastian Gorka told “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday morning. “As a nation, strategically we’re not taking down the ideologues. We focus almost exclusively on the operational heads, the masterminds” but we “must target the ideologues, people who spread the narrative of jihad,” Gorka said.

Unfortunately, “we don’t touch it because we have an administration that says ‘you can’t talk about Jihad and religion is irrelevant,’” Gorka said. “Well, if that’s what we’re going to do, we will be doing whack-a-mole for the next hundred years,” he said.

Indeed, the U.S. is doing nothing to prevent radical Islamic preaching — the one and only necessary precondition for Islamic terror. The administration does not deport radical Imams, nor is it willing to properly monitor mosques and other Islamic centers.

Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, founder and president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, also lamented the effects of political correctness on the war against Islamic terror. “The West is not learning that if we don’t treat the disease will keep unroofing itself,” he said.

Westerners have focused too much on “Muslims being victims and about the so-called ‘Islamophobia’ that they’re ignoring the fact that in Brussels you have 600,000 Muslims in a population of 11 million, where you had one out of 1,000” who went to Syria, and yet it’s “no problem, see no evil, hear no evil, nothing’s happening” as far as Western governments and liberal elites are concerned.

Unfortunately this poisonous political correctness has seeped into the minds of the public and created a situation in which “people are afraid to say something even if they see something,” Ingraham said, noting the neighbours who refused to report the San Bernardino plotters for fear of being labeled “Islamophobic.”

Let that sink in — PC orthodoxy has become so pervasive people would rather risk being blown to pieces than risk being called a name. Clearly, “being accused of Islamophobia is actually worse than plotting a terror attack in some circles,” Ingraham said.

“Political correctness can sometimes kill,” she observed.
