It can be tough sticking to a resolution of eating healthier and getting into shape, regardless of what time of year you vow to make changes.

And, because we so often struggle to find success on our own, we have this entire new class of fitness apps, trackers and gadgets to help us along.

Whether you want to lose weight, exercise more, eat better or improve your overall well-being, there is a fitness tracker out there for you. Slapping one on your wrist, in fact, has become one of the most popular ways to step into the new year.

The American College of Sports Medicine reports that wearable fitness technology is the top trend in fitness for 2016.

“Tech devices are now central to our daily lives and have changed the way we plan and manage our workouts,” said Walter R. Thompson, lead author of the survey. “Wearable devices also provide immediate feedback that can make the wearer more aware of their level of activity and can motivate the user to achieve their fitness goals.”

While it’s great to have choices, many of us find ourselves overwhelmed when faced with the decision about which one to buy. Here at LifeZette, we’re breaking it down for you, one tracker at a time.
