Democrats have been coming out of the woodwork defending their Planned Parenthood cronies, seemingly in complete denial when faced with searing video evidence of fetal organ harvesting — some of it via vivisection — by the taxpayer-funded organization.

“I don’t stipulate that these videos are real,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told CNN’s Jake Tapper this past weekend. “I’ve seen some news reports of it, but I also know that it’s not real, and you can create any reality that you want.”

Pelosi herself is on video saying the above. So perhaps it’s not easy to believe that her comments are real, either. Because the evidence that Planned Parenthood did grotesque, barbaric things to fetuses in order to sell their body parts is irrefutable.

Sen. Barbara Boxer of California also came to Planned Parenthood’s defense, calling this “a war on women’s health — it is not about abortion.” She is right; it isn’t about abortion. It’s about children who are born and then killed so their organs can be harvested for profit — something also known as infanticide.

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has been ardently fighting against Planned Parenthood, using the national GOP debate platform in September to excoriate the group by describing its activities in vivid detail. She has been accused of lying and exaggerating about the videos by the same people drinking the Planned Parenthood Kool-Aid.

In one of the most talked about moments from the GOP debate, Fiorina declared, “I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes.”

Clearly, Clinton has not watched these videos because she also claimed: “If this feels like a full-on assault on women’s health, that’s because it is.”

Well, if you don’t remember anyone in the videos preventing mammograms, you’re not crazy.

In fact, the Center for Medical Progress, which recorded the videos, has released hours of unedited footage.

On Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards was questioned by the House Oversight Committee about the disturbing string of investigative videos released in the past months.

She, too, was in denial, but that comes with the job title — and the $500 million in federal funding.

“The outrageous accusations leveled against Planned Parenthood based on heavily doctored videos are offensive and categorically untrue,” Richards said.

Fiorina — who clearly has watched the videos — described this scene: “Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain. This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up and force President Obama to veto this bill shame on us.”

In the days following the debate, the right rallied around her, grateful that Fiorina had the courage to stand up for life and against these videos in such a straightforward and truthful manner.

The left has challenged her statement and claimed that what she said was not true.

They note that the video did not explicitly depict someone harvesting a brain from a baby. Instead it shows whistleblower Holly O’Donnell explaining that she had witnessed the procedure.

O’Donnell tells a story about a baby whose heart was still beating. She and a colleague procured organs from this baby.

In the video, O’Donnell tells a story about a baby whose heart was still beating. She and a colleague procured organs from this baby. “It had a face, it wasn’t completely torn up, and its nose was very pronounced, it had eyelids, and its mouth was pronounced and then, since the fetus was still so intact she said … ‘we are going to procure brain.’”

O’Donnell continued that her colleague “takes the scissors and makes a small incision right here (the chin) and goes … to maybe a little bit through the mouth.” Then she said: “She gave me the scissors and told me that I had to cut down the middle of the face.”

While O’Donnell is telling the story, the video does depict exactly what Fiorina describes — “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking.”

It is clear that this might not be the same baby that is being discussed by O’Donnell.

However, the video does show a baby moving in a dish and has proof from an ex-employee of Planned Parenthood such horrific procurement tactics exist.

Instead of quibbling over the phrasing of Fiorina’s description during a debate, maybe those attacking her should focus on the heart of what she said. There has been a brutal reality coming to light through those videos, and the real dishonesty comes from those who deny any truth in them.

Or that they even exist.
