New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio is being called the “cowardly lion” this week after fleeing a confrontation with a 62-year-old constituent in Queens.
Vickie Paladino was walking through her neighborhood when she spotted the mayor and decided to confront him about his decision to attend the G20 Summit in Germany instead of the vigil for a slain New York police officer. De Blasio reportedly approached her group to shake hands and hear them out — but when Paladino asked him about the trip he immediately turned around and fled the scene.
