Just days before President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, the LGBTQ community organized a “dance party” to be held in Vice President-Elect Mike Pence’s Washington, D.C. yard.

The “Queer Dance Party” was organized by groups called WERK for Peace and Disrupt J20. “WERK for Peace describes itself as ‘a queer-based grassroots movement that uses dance to promote peace.’ DisruptJ20 is a group that is planning protests during the inauguration,” according to Fox News affiliate FOX 5 DC.

The crowd may have thought they were sending the future vice president a message, but there was one problem: Pence was not at home. He was making an appearance at the National Portrait Gallery for an inaugural fundraising dinner with President-Elect Trump.
