Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor battery for grabbing a reporter in Florida. The charge came after allegations that he forcefully grabbed a reporter at a Jupiter news conference, town police confirmed this morning and the Palm Beach Post reported.

Michelle Fields, 28, a former reporter with Breitbart News Network, said Lewandowski grabbed her arm at a March 8 conference at Trump National Golf Club after she asked Trump about affirmative action. Washington Post reporter Ben Terris said he witnessed the incident.

Jupiter police were looking into the incident after Fields filed a report.

Surveillance footage captured at Trump National corroborates Fields’ claims, the arrest report says.

Lewandowski turned himself in to Jupiter police just after 8 a.m., according to a police report.

Fields tweeted photos of bruises on her arm that she said came from the battery. She resigned from Breitbart less than a week after the incident, citing Breitbart’s refusal to stand behind her amid the allegations as her reason for leaving, the Palm Beach Post reported.
