One of West Virginia’s two abortion providers closed its doors recently, WSAZ News Channel reported.
Kanawha Surgicenter closed Tuesday, according to a note posted on the door of the Kanawha City clinic, sources said.

Dr. Gorli Harish, the abortion provider, and his wife said the family moved to California two years ago to be closer to their children and grandchildren, according to a woman who answered the phone at the clinic. The doctor had reportedly been traveling back and forth once a month to do procedures — but no longer wished to make the regular trips.
The only other abortion provider in the state is the Women’s Health Center, on Charleston’s West Side.
