It can be a difficult task keeping up with the foolishness and hypocrisy that travels from the mouth of the Hollywood elites out into the wider world. Political preaching and cultural fear-mongering seem to know no bounds.

Here’s our second weekly roundup of recent and outrageous statements and actions from pop culture influencers with a voice, a message — and the willfulness to spread their messages as far and wide as they possibly can, come what may.

Whoopi Goldberg, speaking from her familiar liberal pulpit on “The View,” may have taken the cake this week. She said she was more qualified to be president than Donald Trump.

“When I speak, at least you know that I’ve actually looked stuff up, so people think that I might be more aware,” said Goldberg on Monday. “People know that I’ve had a wide variety of lives, so they think I might know some stuff.”

She said Trump “doesn’t seem to do the homework … doesn’t seem to have any idea how things actually run.”

In regard to Goldberg’s support of Hillary Clinton, she said, “I can only think to myself she may not have been the best candidate for people, but I know she knew what she was doing.”

If Goldberg thinks she’s more qualified to be president than Donald Trump, then there’s a simple answer to her troubles with the president-elect. In America, we have choices. Everyone from Roseanne Barr to Donald Trump can run for president. Being “qualified” has to do with being a productive and successful American in touch with the issues affecting everyday people. It’s how Trump was elected and connected with far more voters than Clinton ever did.

If Goldberg ever does decide to run for office, though, she may want to take her own advice and do her homework. She says Clinton “knew what she was was doing.” Hillary’s private server full of classified information would disagree. Plus, Clinton’s complete bumbling of the 2012 Benghazi terror attacks while serving as head of the State Department proves she actually had no clue what she was doing.

MTV apparently thinks the answer the Left should have in the wake of Trump’s election victory is a video preaching to those pesky, evil white people who just don’t get it. MTV released the video on Monday; it was full of New Year’s resolutions for “white guys” because they could “do a little better in 2017.”

The nausea-inducing video includes young people saying things like, “Blue Lives Matter isn’t a thing” and “feel free to take Kanye West.” It’s a pretty insufferable product of a politically correct Left trying desperately to understand why Donald Trump won the presidential election.

The makers of the video seem to have ignored the fact that Trump beat everyone’s expectations when it came to minority and female voters, so white males aren’t the only ones who put him in office.

Beyond that, does MTV really think a minute-long video preaching to “white guys” is what the world needs or what is going to help the Left’s causes?

Reason appropriately said the video “might just earn Trump a second term.” If we get many more videos like this, Trump won’t even need to campaign in 2020.

Olivia Wilde, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and others may have fallen victim to one of the Left’s biggest shouting points of the moment: fake news. Youtube prankster Adam Saleh claimed he and a companion were booted on Wednesday from a Delta flight because he was speaking to his mom in Arabic.

Saleh’s video of the incident in question went viral, and #BoycottDelta began trending on social media, especially with celebrities. “You’ve got to be kidding me, Delta. We won’t be flying with you again. Unbelievable,” tweeted Wilde.

“This is terrifying. I will not be flying with Delta,” tweeted Gyllenhaal. Other actors like Josh Gad and Guillermo Diaz had similar reactions.

One twitter user pointed to past videos of Saleh’s where he attempted to create disruptions on airplanes as proof his latest story of discrimination wasn’t adding up.

Reporter Soledad O’Brien also tweeted about the incident, saying a good friend had been on the flight and put into question as to whether Saleh’s claims about calling his mother in Arabic were even true.

In a statement from Delta, the company revealed that multiple passenger accounts proved Saleh was simply being a disruptive customer. “This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight,” the statement reads. “While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video-recorded and encouraged by his traveling companion, what is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority.” Delta accused Saleh of “shouting” and of attempting to “disrupt the cabin.”

The story is proof that liberal celebrities may want to work on their own ingestion of fake news before preaching about it — and perhaps learn to be less reactionary.

But Since It’s the Holiday Season …
We mustn’t end things on a low note. So let’s attempt to find some positivity in the swamp of Hollywood opinions.

Hetfield can now hunt and enjoy nature more easily.

Proving you don’t need to be a resident of California or of a particular political persuasion to be a creative artist, Metallica lead singer James Hetfield explained in a recent interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast why he fled San Francisco.

“I kind of got sick of the Bay Area, the attitudes of the people there, a little bit. They talk about how diverse they are, and things like that, and it’s fine if you’re diverse like them. But showing up with a deer on the bumper doesn’t fly in Marin County,” Hetfield said.

His comments have gained positive attention in the last week.

Though Hetfield has never been particularly political and prefers that Metallica stay focused on music, he said the Bay Area became too much for him.

“There was an elitist attitude there — that if you weren’t their way politically, their way environmentally, all of that, that you were looked down upon.” Hetfield now resides in Colorado. He still makes music — the band just dropped an album this year — but says he can now hunt and enjoy nature more easily.
