Nicole Kidman a Trump Supporter?

It seems remarkable. Actress Nicole Kidman actually had positive words for President-Elect Donald Trump, in stark contrast to the way other celebrities have been talking. In other words, she has a head on her shoulders.

“I just say: ‘He’s now elected and we as a country need to support whoever is the president, because that’s what the country is based on,'” Kidman told the BBC recently when asked about her thoughts on Trump.

“We as a country need to support whoever is the president.”

Kidman holds dual American and Australian citizenships and confirmed she voted in the 2016 presidential elections.

The actress added that she doesn’t like getting political as a celebrity: “I’m always reticent to, sort of, comment politically.”

She isn’t the only one out of Hollywood to take a positive stance on Trump since he was elected.

Outspoken liberal actor and director George Clooney — who sharply criticized Trump during the campaign season — recently had positive comments about the next president.

Clooney said at a Monday night reception for his Netflix documentary “The White Helmets”: “We have to hope that he can do a decent job, because when the president of the United States fails, really terrible things happen.” Clooney added, “I can only hope for the best.”

While that’s hardly a full endorsement, Clooney’s words are certainly a flip of the coin compared to those of celebs like Michael Moore, Charlie Sheen, Barbra Streisand, Rosie O’Donnell, and others who downright refuse to accept Trump as president and who have gone out of their way to criticize and ridicule him.

Also in Trump’s corner, it seems, is former California governor and current “Celebrity Apprentice” host Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the “Terminator” actor was one of the Republicans who refused to ever back Trump, he said in an interview with “The TODAY Show” after the election, “When someone is elected, then you get 100 percent behind them and you help them shape the future.” He added, “It’s very hard for people to do that, but that’s the effort we all have to make.”

Schwarzenegger said people need to “come together” and “stop whining” about Trump’s victory. Even after the president-elect pointed out on Twitter that ratings had fallen sharply for “Celebrity Apprentice” without him as host, Schwarzenegger still kept things positive, tweeting, “I wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.”

Schwarzenegger also posted a video in which he recited a quote from Abraham Lincoln and said, “We have a lot of work to do to keep America great. So let’s do it. And let’s do it together.”

“Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston, who previously promised to leave the country if Trump won the presidency, expressed support for the incoming president in a recent interview with USA Today. “He is going to be in the White House. So for the good of the country, I hope he’s tremendously successful. I really do.”

The actor’s “Why Him?” co-star James Franco added, “That’s a great way to put it. I’m hoping for the best.”
