If there’s just one night where bars will have guaranteed business, it’s St. Patrick’s Day.

The Irish holiday puts most people in enough of a festive spirit to throw on a green hat and grab an Irish beer at a pub — while listening to live Irish-themed music or entering contests to see who has worn the worst green get-up.

With all that business, many bars go above and beyond in getting their establishments just right for the festivities that come with St. Patrick’s Day. Here’s a look at some of the most festive bars on this holiday.

Raglan Road Irish Pub, Florida — “To be a true Irish pub, you need to be from Ireland. Which we are. The owners, the chef, even the bleedin’ building’s from Ireland,” reads Raglan Road Irish Pub’s official website.

This Irish pub celebrates St. Patrick’s Day all week, not just one day. With festivities from March 16 to March 19, the pub hosts everything from green face-painting to Irish dancers and musical acts.

St. Patrick’s Day Cruise — The phrases “open bar” and “St. Patrick’s Day” typically don’t go in the same sentence. However, they do in New York City, where people looking to celebrate the Irish holiday can hop on a two-hour cruise through New York Harbor that includes a live DJ and an open bar.

Revelers can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish drinks and music while taking in iconic American sites like the Statue of Liberty. Irish nachos and cabbage pinwheels and more are served, too.

Loreley Beer Garden — How appropriate is it to drink green beer on St. Patrick’s Day? To this outdoor beer garden in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, it’s very important. From March 17 to March 19, visitors can enjoy lager filled with green dye at this establishment.

There’s even a ceremonial keg tapping on Saturday — and patrons can walk away with free Guinness glasses engraved with their names.

Silent Disco — This one takes the cake as far as unique St. Patrick’s Day celebrations go. If the typical bar scene is too crowded or too familiar to you, then you can go to Studio Square in Queens, New York.

A $10 advance ticket buys you a shot. Inside, you’re handed green headphones and can dance to music of your own choice, as played by three DJs in attendance. All patrons have their own headphones and listen to their own choice of music while dancing the night away. It certainly can look strange to the outside observer — but people at these silent discos seem to be having enough fun, even if they look lonely in the middle of a crowd.
