No matter how many strides President Donald Trump continues to make in his young presidency — and his speech Tuesday night to Congress has been almost universally hailed, except by the far Left — divisive and partisan rhetoric has become almost second nature to many of today’s celebrities. It’s their default.

Level-headed debate and rational thinking have been thrown to the wind by these polarizing public figures, who just can’t stand that much of America does not agree with them.

Charlie Sheen, Sarah Silverman, Arsenio Hall, and other stars were none too pleased with President Trump’s congressional address. It made them downright angry, in fact — and they had to throw a fit in public.

“I’m just gonna say, WHAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO; suck a bag of soiled d****, you FASCIST, legally retarded, DESPOTIC IMBECILE!” tweeted actor Charlie Sheen.

The language only got worse from there. Comedian Sarah Silverman, who previously confused construction markings for swastikas, tweeted about the president with language that — we can’t even begin to suggest here.

Showing true comedic originality, comedian Arsenio Hall tweeted, “Steve KKK Bannon … is a WONDERFUL speech writer!”

“You can’t be ‘a country united against hate’ when your AG is a racist, your VP attacks LGBTs, and your top advisor is a White Nationalist,” tweeted “Star Trek” actor George Takei.

John Legend proved he’s giving the new president a chance in an interview with Fault magazine. “Hopefully ‘Trump’s America’ won’t last very long and we get him out of here within the next four years.”

The singer may not realize it from his ivory tower — but “Trump’s America” happens to be the America of many voting citizens — that’s how the man won. Legend isn’t even willing to give Trump a full term before writing him off.

Ashley Judd took extreme celebrity statements to a new level in a video that began going viral over the weekend. She proclaimed that the election of Donald Trump was worse than rape.

In a past video from HuffPost Live, Judd said about Trump’s victory, “It remains for me the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my lifetime.” She stunningly added, “Raped as a child — bad. Re-raped by a political system that ordains a clown — really bad.”

The actress continued, “And the fact that there were adult men in my family — who failed to protect me as a child — voted for him, was really re-traumatizing in saying, ‘You’re gonna put me out there again. And the idea that you would protect me has evaporated.’ And it was incredibly painful. Incredibly painful.”

There are countries in which women have no rights. There are countries that do not have the benefit of free elections and peaceful transitions of power. Yet Judd claims that in this country — where she has unprecedented free speech — the election of the new president was worse than one of the most heinous crimes that exist. If there was an award for the most extreme statement of the year, this celebrity with her head in the clouds would take the cake.

And now on a far more positive note …

Jennifer Garner hit a hopeful and surprising tone when talking about President Trump in a recent interview with The Washington Post. Garner mentioned how a trip to her home state of West Virginia showed her how many Trump supporters there really were in rural communities in America. “People felt like Trump really understood them, that he was going to come in and create jobs for them,” she said. “They felt like they needed something to just turn everything upside down.”

Instead of vilifying those Trump voters or shaming them — as many celebrities are making second careers out of — Garner insisted the president keep his campaign promises. “I’m looking forward to helping him make good on what they saw as promises, a mandate from him, that he was going to make their lives better.”

She added, “Send me a ticket to Mar-a-Lago. I’m ready to go down and have a steak and a good chat.” Garner recently spoke at a meeting at the National Governors Association and advocated for early childhood education.
