In the wake of a pedophilia accusation against actor Kevin Spacey, Netflix announced that its popular series “House of Cards,” produced and led by the actor, would be ending after its upcoming sixth season.

More allegations of sexual misconduct have been lodged against the actor. Film director Tony Montana told Radar Online that Spacey groped him in a bar in Los Angeles — and later allegedly followed Montana into the bathroom.

Actor Roberto Cavazos also wrote in a Facebook post that he had witnessed Spacey “routinely prey” on young men while he was the artistic director at the Old Vic in London between 2004 and 2015.

“It seems the only requirement was to be a male under the age of 30 for Mr. Spacey to feel free to touch us,” Cavazos wrote. He appeared in several plays for the Old Vic and had two “unpleasant” alleged advancements from Spacey that bordered on harassment.

He added, “There are a lot of us who have a ‘Kevin Spacey story.'”

Other reports are coming out about Spacey as well, which include instances of his exposing himself to men or harassing them after they denied his advances.

In the wake of these new allegations, Netflix and Media Rights Capital have decided to indefinitely suspend filming on Spacey’s show, meaning there likely will be no final season for the popular series.

“MRC and Netflix have decided to suspend production on ‘House of Cards’ season six, until further notice, to give us time to review the current situation and to address any concerns of our cast and crew,” the companies said in a joint statement.

Production on the sixth season of “House of Cards” had reportedly already begun, though Spacey had not filmed anything yet.

According to Variety, Netflix is mulling a way forward for the “House of Cards” brand that does not include Spacey. The company is reportedly looking into possible spinoffs.

Spacey next appears on-screen in Ridley Scott’s “All the Money in the World,” set for release next month.

Netflix did not comment on its upcoming film “Gore,” about the life of Gore Vidal — in which Kevin Spacey stars.

The shutting down of a popular program like “House of Cards” shows a serious shift in attitude in Hollywood about sexual harassment and assault. Most of these predators, like Harvey Weinstein, got away with these acts for decades, but their power and influence now mean nothing in the face of sexual misconduct allegations.

Hollywood isn’t the only industry turning up the heat, either. NPR Chief Editor Michael Oreskes resigned Wednesday after a series of sexual harassment claims against him came out of a Washington Post report.
