3.) Stephen Curry showed up. In 2015, when Golden State won its first finals, the MVP was Andre Iguodala and not regular season MVP Steph Curry. In 2016, Curry was the first unanimously chosen MVP and led his team to a 73-win series, only to be defeated by LeBron and the Cavaliers. Both times Steph Curry had been to the finals, he performed like a shell of his regular-season self. The Curry we all know and love looked timid and out of sync.

This year, however, he came to play. He averaged 27 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. Kevin Durant was awarded the well-deserved Finals MVP, but Steph Curry was still incredible. He disproved theories that he was afraid of the big moment and showed the world he is a deserving champion.
