Amazon. The giant entity very nearly revived a Tim Allen project once in the past. It was working hard two years ago to make a sequel to “Galaxy Quest,” a cult sci-fi comedy Allen led in 1999.

The death of co-star Alan Rickman last year, as well as Allen’s busy schedule, brought things to a halt on that front, but Amazon now has the opportunity to work with Allen again by bringing “Last Man Standing” back from the dead.

Reviving the series would help make more people aware of Amazon’s original content, and the streaming platform is already accustomed to taking on material with built-in audiences and press, such as its upcoming reboots of “Jack Ryan” and “The Tick,” as well as “Bosch,” a series based on popular detective novels by Michael Connelly.[lz_pagination]
