Hulu. This streaming service has brought back a canceled comedy before: “The Mindy Project.” Many fans and critics have even made the case that the show improved dramatically when it moved to Hulu, a platform where producers and writers were given more freedom with the comedy and also to push the dramatic storytelling.

The same could happen for “Last Man Standing,” a show with arguably a bigger built-in audience than “Mindy” and more people clamoring for its return.
