CBS. This network may be hesitant to take on a new production that doesn’t entirely belong to it, but its programming already caters to much of the right-of-center audience that “Last Man Standing” did. Shows like “Blue Bloods” and “NCIS” are watched by an older midwestern crowd looking for non-political content that at least in part represents their values.

The network could easily find a place for the sitcom next to some of its other popular comedies, such as “The Big Bang Theory.”

It could create a shorter episode run for “Standing”; the show could also be a midseason replacement for another comedy already lined up, or perhaps even a summer show.

CBS actually saved a program in the past. It gave “Medium” one final season after NBC gave it the ax in 2009. The rights were a little easier with that show, but CBS could still make the “Standing” deal work if it so desired. (go to page 5 to continue reading)[lz_pagination]
