Netflix. Part of the popularity that “Last Man Standing” found during its time on the air was thanks to Netflix, since viewers can binge-watch five of the sitcom’s seasons there.

Netflix has been upping the number of original programs it creates and distributes in recent years, and it has saved canceled shows before, such as “Arrested Development,” which has a fifth season currently in the works at the streaming platform.

“Standing” also reaches the right-of-center/Midwest audience that Netflix has already been winning over with its Adam Sandler movie deals and Ashton Kutcher’s Midwest-based sitcom, “The Ranch.”
